Donations and Partnerships
As we are currently in the process of registration with the Charity Commission, our work is supported by volunteers and community donations. Contributions help us provide frontline support, respond to urgent requests, assist with document preparation and continue offering multilingual help.
We welcome partnerships with organisations working in domestic abuse support, legal aid, immigration, mental health, social care, safeguarding, translation, media and community outreach.
For partnerships, donations, volunteer opportunities or media enquiries, please contact us by email or through our social media channels.
FreeBirds UK helps women in the UK and Europe find safety, protection and hope — because no one should face abuse alone.
Volunteering — Become Part of Our Team
We always welcome those who are ready to share their time, skills, and warmth to support women facing domestic abuse. Join our team!
Potential Volunteer Roles:
-
Helpline and Chat Support: Providing initial emotional support, active listening without judgment, and signposting to necessary resources.
-
Administrative Support: Assisting with document gathering, translations, organizing meetings, or managing social media channels.
-
Psychological Support: If you have a relevant professional background or qualification — conducting individual counselling sessions or leading support groups.
-
Awareness Campaigns: Distributing materials, raising awareness within local communities, and helping with flyer design and online campaigns.
-
Specialized Skills: We are always looking for IT specialists (website development, graphic design), legal experts (with experience in the UK or European countries), and volunteers to organize children's activities in shelters.
What Does Volunteering Offer?
It is not only about helping others but also a chance to gain valuable international experience, meet like-minded people, expand your network, and make a real difference in saving lives. We provide introductory training and continuous support at every stage.
How to Join
Email us with the subject line "Want to become a volunteer." Briefly tell us about yourself, your experience, and which area interests you the most. We will get back to you as soon as possible!
Partner With Us!
We are open to collaboration and welcome any form of support from organizations that share our mission — helping women in the UK and European countries leave abusive relationships. Currently, we actively collaborate with partners specializing in legal assistance for victims of domestic abuse (specifically regarding eligibility and applications for Legal Aid).
How Can We Work Together?
If your organization has expertise in any of the following fields, we would be glad to join forces:
-
Law and Immigration: Providing consultations, protecting rights, and assisting with the legal status of survivors in the UK and Europe.
-
Psychology and Social Work: Supporting trauma recovery and rehabilitation.
-
Language Support: Professional translation of documents for courts and authorities.
-
Fundraising, Marketing, and Media: Attracting resources, managing joint projects, and running awareness campaigns.
Partnership Formats:
We are open to hosting joint webinars, establishing mutual referral systems, exchanging expertise, and implementing long-term projects.
Please write to us, and we will be happy to discuss our current objectives, needs, and opportunities for effective collaboration.
